Reigniting Volume Growth Post COVID-19
CLIENT
Tower Health
SITUATION
The pandemic has hit hospital and health system revenues hard, in unprecedented ways. Hospitals cancelled non-emergency procedures, and temporarily paused their hospital marketing, as many Americans postponed care as they sheltered in place to stop the spread of the virus. Engaging patients early – to reconnect and rebuild trust with those who postponed provider visits during the COVID-19 pandemic – is an important way to accelerate post-COVID-19 recovery.
SOLUTION
Begin to generate new patient appointments and reignite volume growth – in light of losses in health system revenue, sharp increases in costs since the beginning of the pandemic and many Americans forgoing care, including primary care and other specialty care visits. Do this by building awareness of new Telehealth and virtual care access and conveniences, along with safety protocols available to patients across Tower Health hospitals and specialty providers.
RESULTS
For Brandywine Family Practice of Lionville – one of the facilities supported through the campaign – 31 new patients within first month of the hospital marketing effort.
