Creating a New Destination

Business Challenge: Develop a new customer base and revenue stream, by creating a new luxury spa destination that extends the Fairmont experience.

Insight: Fairmont's philosophy of "turning moments into memories" is reinforced through authentically local experiences and properties in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Informed by research among current and prospective guests, we determined that a place where guests would come to "find your energy" is both motivating and inherent to the Fairmont experience.

Solution: The spa "destination" would drive the branding. The Willow Stream name and logo reflect the inspiration of nature's elements, Fairmont's timeless landscapes and the integration with the human spirit. The circles found in the logo are ancient symbols for nature's essential elements: earth, air, fire and water.

Results: Willow Stream has grown to become a collection of luxury spas available at nine Fairmont locations.
